CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- Tusculum freshman Widchard Guervil finished 14th overall in the first round of the men's 200 meters at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday afternoon at Irwin Belk Track, on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University.

Guervil ran 21.26 seconds in the third of three heats, placing him fourth in the heat. The top two finishers in each heat plus the next two fastest times advanced to Saturday's finals. The Fort Myers, Florida native will race in the finals of the men's 100 meters on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. after qualifying fifth for the championship heat.
