CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- The Tusculum men's and women's track & field teams opened the 2018 outdoor schedule by competing at the Charlotte 49er Classic at Irwin Belk Track.

MEN
The Pioneer 4x800-meter relay team of Jackson Beason, J'Quen Johnson, Malik Tann and Isaac Hybarger finished eighth overall with a time of 8:26.46, while the 4x100 quartet of Jacob Acklin, Xavier Billups, Althiery Leontes and All-American Widchard Guervil took 10th place in a time of 42.38 seconds.

WOMEN
The 4x400 relay team of Bailey Pruiett, Raygene Minus, I'Keriah Day and Autumn Blackwood was clocked at 4:14.99 and finished in 38th place overall.
