Game 1: Ohio Valley 5, Tusculum 3 (8)

Game one remained scoreless through the first three innings, until Ohio Valley pushed one run across the plate in the top of the fourth to open a 1-0 lead on Dhillon's two-out solo home run. Tusculum would tie the game in the bottom of the inning on Shanda Kimbrough's RBI single which scored Burke from second after the freshman started the rally with a one-out double.

The Pioneers struck again in the following inning, taking their first lead of the game with two runs in the bottom of the fifth to open a 3-1 margin after five frames. After a lead-off single by Wilburn and Ashley Bagley reached on a fielder's choice, Bagley stole second to move into scoring position with Taylor MacDonald coming up to bat.

With the count at 1-2, MacDonald then lined a pitch into the left center field gap to score Bagley from second and put TC up 2-1. Burke then followed with a two-out RBI single up the middle to plate MacDonald and extend the lead to 3-1.

Ohio Valley answered with two runs in the seventh inning on a pair of two-out base knocks by Jaci Miller and Kelsey Graham, tying the score at 3-3 and forcing extra frames. The Scots then plated two runs in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to notch the come-from-behind win.

Game 2: Tusculum 6, Ohio Valley 3

Tusculum wasted no time getting on the board in game two, scoring three runs in the first stanza on back-to-back two-out home runs by Powell and Cadenhead. After OVU retired the first two batters of the inning and Burke reached on a passed ball, Powell drove the first pitch of the at-bat over the wall in right center for her first career hit, a two-run home run that put TC up 2-0. Cadenhead came up to bat next and hit an 0-1 pitch into deep left center, which cleared the wall for her first career home run which gave TC a 3-0 lead after one.
