BREVARD, N.C. --- Tusculum College won a share of the 2015 South Atlantic Conference men's tennis championship on Sunday with an 8-1 win against Brevard College. It is the Pioneers' fifth title in school history.

TC finishes the regular season with a 16-1 overall record and a 9-1 mark in the SAC. Wingate University earned the other share of the championship as it is tied with Tusculum for the second-most championships in conference history.

The Pioneers, ranked 43rd nationally, swept all six singles matches against the Tornados (4-13, 0-11 SAC). Lukas Winkelmann completed his second-straight perfect regular season with a win in the top spot. It was also his 50th-straight victory in regular season dual play.

Nic Planchard was a winner in the second spot while Jonas Winkelmann edged Nathan Sabate in three sets in the third flight. Leon Seiz earned a victory in the fourth spot and Tashique Kader and Toby de Klerk had little trouble in their wins at five and six respectively.

Lukas and Jonas Winkelmann teamed together in the top doubles flight, and they finished undefeated for the 2014-15 regular season with a win in the top spot. Joseph Elphingstone and David Siegle also earned a win in the third spot.

TC will next be in action at the SAC Tournament beginning on Thursday. Official seeding and match times will be announced later this evening.
