Tusculum College sophomore keeper Andy Goellner is ranked fifth
in the nation in saves per match in the latest NCAA Division II
men's soccer statistics, through matches of October 10.
Goellner, a 6-0, 165-pounder from Denver, Colo. who is averaging
7.82 saves per match through his first 11 matches in goal, dropped
to fifth after being ranked second in last week's rankings. The
Denver South High School graduate is 33rd in Division II is save
percentage at .811 through 11 matches, while the Pioneers' team
save percentage of .821 is 20th out of 177 Division II
programs.
The Pioneers (2-7-3, 1-4 South Atlantic Conference) host Anderson
University in a South Atlantic Conference match Saturday afternoon
at 5:00 p.m. at Niswonger Sports Complex / Pioneer Field.
