TUSCULUM TO BROADCAST NCAA MEN'S SOCCER ELITE EIGHT MATCH

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College has announced it will broadcast Sunday's NCAA Division II Men's Soccer national quarterfinal match between the No. 5 Pioneers and the 11th-ranked Tampa Spartans. The broadcast will be available on the Internet at www.tusculumpioneers.com and at www.redzonemedia.com. Fans at the match will also be able to listen on 90.5 FM.

The kickoff of Sunday's match is slated to begin at 2 p.m. from the Niswonger Sports Complex and Pioneer Field.

The "Voice of the Pioneers" Brian Stayton will provide the call of Sunday's match. This will mark Stayton's second time broadcasting a NCAA II Elite Eight match. He provided the play-by-play for Tusculum's 2004 run to the national quarterfinal. Stayton, who has been the lead radio voice for Tusculum College for the past decade, was an All-South Atlantic Conference forward on the Carson-Newman College soccer team.

Tusculum (20-2-1) is enjoying its finest season in school history, winning the SAC regular season and tournament titles, while also posting its second NCAA region crown in the last five years. Tusculum and Tampa (17-3-1) will meet for the first time in NCAA II play at Pioneer Field, where the TC is 12-1 this season.

Ticket prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students with a valid ID and children ages 12 and under. Tusculum College students will be admitted free, but must have a valid Tusculum ID to be admitted. The Tusculum Athletic Department will be purchasing tickets for all TC students who wish to attend. Live stats for the match will be provided through the Tusculum Athletics website at www.tusculumpioneers.com.
