MOORE MAKES HISTORY, MEN'S SOCCER ADVANCES TO SAC TOURNAMENT FINAL

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College volleyball team (20-10, 8-7 SAC) fell to Catawba College 3-1 on Friday night, as the Catawba Indians rallied to win the final three sets after Tusculum took set one in a South Atlantic Conference volleyball match at Pioneer Arena. Catawba (19-9, 10-5 SAC) won the match by scores of 18-25, 25-18, 25-16, and 25-11.

Catawba's Melissa Powers added a match-high 28 kills and 2.5 blocks to lead the Catawba Indians, while teammate Melissa Griffith added 15 kills and 14 digs. Megan Courson dished out a match-high 48 assists, as Powers and MacKenzie White each tallied two service aces.

Tusculum's Carly Swisher posted a team-high 11 kills as Peyton Colcough and Brittney Oblinger added 22 and 14 assists, respectively. Katie Luebke led the Pioneers with 13 digs, while Gina Coffaro and Erika Garcia each added nine digs.

The Pioneers return to the court tomorrow morning when they face Lenoir-Rhyne University at 11 am at Pioneer Arena.
