MEN'S SOCCER SWEEPS MAJOR ALL-SAC AWARDS

Bruno Conceicao ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College senior forward Bruno Conceicão was named South Atlantic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Year at the soccer awards banquet on Thursday night. The Pioneers swept the major conference awards as Head Coach Brett Teach was named SAC Coach of the Year for the second season in a row, and freshman forward Nick Rich was honored as the SAC Freshman of the Year.

Sophomore midfielders Anteneh Lemma and Lucas Paulini, along with defenders Rory McCook and Sven Meyer, joined Conceicão on the All-SAC First Team, while juniors Lance Moore and Scott Lucky were named to the second team.

Conceicão led the SAC with 20 goals and 48 points during the regular season to earn All-SAC First Team honors for the second year in a row. Lemma has put together a career year with 10 goals, seven assists and 27 points to earn all-conference honors for the first time in his tenure with the Pioneers. Paulini, the 2007 SAC Freshman of the Year, enters tomorrow's SAC Tournament semifinal one assist shy of his career-high of 10 helpers last season.

McCook, Meyer, and Lucky were also selected to the all-conference teams for the first time in their career. A senior from Kingston, Jamaica, McCook has led the Pioneer back line to a 1.10 goals against average which ranks among the top 50 teams in the nation this season. Lucky enters the weekend tied with Conceicão for the team lead in assists (10), and has also scored four goals for the Pioneers to earn All-SAC Second Team honors this season. Meyer has been on the back line for all 18 of TC's matches this season, helping the Pioneers to post a conference-best nine shutouts.

Moore, a junior goalkeeper from Morristown, Tenn., was named to the second team after leading the conference with nine shutouts during the regular season. The 6-2, 185-pound netminder tied a program record with his 15th career clean sheet earlier this fall, and enters the weekend as TC's all-time leader with a 1.33 goals against average in his career with the black and orange.

The top-seeded Pioneers resume play in the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament tomorrow evening when they take on fourth-seeded Lincoln Memorial in a semifinal match at 6 p.m. in Rock Hill.
