MEN'S SOCCER'S ANTENEH LEMMA NAMED TO PDL TEAM OF THE WEEK

Anteneh Lemma TAMPA, Fla. --- Tusculum College men's soccer player Anteneh Lemma has been named to the Premier Development League Team of the Week after leading his Mississippi Brilla FC side to a 1-1 week and a berth in the U.S. Open Cup, announced PDL officials Thursday.

The 2008 NSCAA All-America Second Team selection scored one goal and dished out two assists for Brilla last week, including the equalizer in a 3-3 draw with the New Orleans Jesters on Tuesday. Lemma now sits second on the team with four points behind former Newberry College standout Debola Ogunseye's total of six points.

Lemma was an integral member of Tusculum's South Atlantic Conference championship squad in 2008, earning numerous honors while posting 14 goals, 10 assists, and 38 points, as the Pioneers won a school-record 20 matches and advanced to the national quarterfinals.

The 5-7 midfielder is playing for Brilla this summer alongside fellow Pioneers Scott Lucky, Lucas Paulini, and Nick Rich. The four have combined for three of Brilla's seven goals thus far, as well as four assists.
