MEN'S SOCCER LISTED PROMINENTLY IN NCAA II FINAL STATISTICS

NCAA INDIANAPOLIS --- The No. 7 Tusculum College men's soccer team is listed prominently in several individual and team categories in the NCAA Division II men's soccer final statistics announced NCAA officials Tuesday.

Tusculum boasted the ninth-best scoring offense in the nation this season, averaging 2.58 goals per match en route to the best record in program history at 20-3-1. The Pioneers ranked fourth in NCAA II with a 0.854 winning percentage, and finished 12th in the nation with a 0.5 shutout percentage. Tusculum was also ranked 32nd in team goals against average (1.02) and 36th in save percentage (0.792).

Bruno Conceicao Daktronics Men's Soccer All-Southeast Region Player of the Year Bruno Conceicão headlines a group of five Pioneers listed in among the nation's leaders in seven statistical categories this season, as the senior forward led NCAA Division II with 60 points. A native of Valenca, Bahia, Conceicão was also third in the nation with 24 goals this fall, becoming the third player in program history to score 20 or more goals in two separate seasons with the black and orange.

The 2008 South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year also posted the third-best points per match (2.61) in the nation, and finished the campaign sixth in NCAA II in goals per contest (1.04). Conceicão concluded the campaign tied for 30th in the nation with 0.52 assists per match and tied for ninth in total helpers (12), becoming the first player in program history to earn Daktronics All-America First Team honors.

Anteneh Lemma Sophomore midfielder Anteneh Lemma set new career highs with 14 goals, 10 assists, and 38 points, finishing the season ranked nationally in each category. The Stockholm, Sweden native ranked tied for 18th in points (38), 44th in points per match (1.58), tied for 25th in goals (14), and 62nd in goals per match (0.58). Lemma earned All-SAC honors for the second consecutive season, as the 2007 All-SAC Second Team selection was one of five Pioneers named to the First Team. The 5-7, 145-pound half back was also named to the Daktronics All-America Second Team and All-Southeast Region First Team.

Scott Lucky Scott Lucky thrived in his first season with the Pioneers, as the junior transfer finished the campaign tied for sixth in the nation with 13 assists. The 6-0, 175-pound midfielder was ranked 18th in NCAA II with 0.54 helpers per match en route to an All-SAC Second Team selection, as well as Daktronics All-America Honorable Mention and All-Southeast Region First Team selections.

Lucas Paulini Lucas Paulini followed his 2007 SAC Freshman of the Year season with an impressive sophomore campaign, finishing the year tied with Conceicão for 30th in the nation with 0.52 assists per match and ninth in total helpers (12). The 6-1, 165-pound midfielder posted career highs in assists and minutes played (2003) en route to his second consecutive All-SAC First Team selection, as well as being named to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team.
