TUSCULUM MEN'S SOCCER TIES NO. 16 LANDER, 0-0
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College men's soccer team (4-5-1) played No. 16 Lander University (5-1-2) to a scoreless draw Tuesday night at Pioneer Field. That match was almost even on both the scoreboard and on the stat sheet. The Pioneers (4-5-1) and Bearcats (5-1-2) posted 18 shots each on the night as neither could find the back of the net.
In the second half TC senior Tony Prisco was set up for a potential match-winner but his shot went wide. TC's Bruno Conceicao had a break away in the first overtime but could not get one past Bearcat goalie Garrett Daum who finished with eight saves on the night.
Pioneer goalie sophomore Lance Moore was stellar in goal as he posted 10 saves and recorded his second straight shutout.
Tusculum returns to action Saturday night when it hosts Newberry College for a South Atlantic Conference match beginning at 8 p.m.
