GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Four fourth-quarter goals enabled Queens University of Charlotte to erase a two-goal deficit and defeat Tusculum College 10-8 in a South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse match Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

Casey Hock scored the tying and go-ahead goals while Evan Farkas had a game-high five tallies for the Royals (8-7, 7-1 SAC), who clinched a share of the SAC championship with the victory. Farkas also assisted on both of Hock's fourth-quarter goals.

Chris Ryan paced the Pioneers (4-8, 2-6 SAC) with four goals, while Ben Boyd and Steven Raimondi had two goals apiece for Tusculum, which itself overcame a pair of two-goal deficits to gain the lead in the third quarter. Ross Parsons and Andrew Kransberger had three assists apiece for the Pioneers, whose last five conference games have been decided in the fourth quarter.

Queens took a 2-0 lead just over two minutes into the game on goals by Justin Kestler and Farkas, but Ryan netted a pair in a four-minute span to tie the game 2-2 midway through the opening quarter. A goal by Farkas gave the Royals a 3-2 lead at the end of one quarter, and his third of the afternoon extended the Queens advantage to 4-2 with 12:29 remaining in the half.

Tusculum fought back a second time on goals by Boyd and Raimondi, the latter knotting the game at 4-4 with 5:54 remaining in the second quarter. However, a goal from Spencer Corkery with 4:39 left in the half enabled Queens to go to intermission with a 5-4 lead.

The Pioneers controlled the play in the third quarter, outshooting the Royals 14-3 and outscoring them by a 4-1 margin. Ryan knotted the game at 5-5 just 48 seconds into the second half, before Farkas came through with his fourth goal of the afternoon to push Queens back on top 6-5 just over two minutes into the quarter.

Boyd delivered the equalizer for a 6-6 tie with 10:13 remaining in the third quarter, then Ryan gave the Pioneers a 7-6 lead just under a minute later with his fourth of the afternoon. Raimondi's goal with 4:58 left in the third quarter sent the Pioneers to an 8-6 lead as the fourth quarter got underway.

A man-up goal from Corkery brought the Royals within 8-7 with 13:39 to go, then Hock scored with 12:03 left to tie it and again with 8:36 remaining for a 9-8 Queens lead. Farkas capped off the scoring with his fifth of the game off a feed from Hock with 3:28 to play.

Queens finished the game with a 32-26 shot advantage and a 30-29 lead in ground balls. Jonathan Paige was 11-for-15 on draws for the Royals and had a team-high five ground balls. For the Pioneers, Coogan Lethco led the way with seven ground balls and Mitch Chapman added four ground balls along with three caused turnovers.

Kevin Haggerty finished with 10 saves in goal for the Pioneers, while Eric Dolan tallied six stops for the Royals.

The Pioneers will conclude the regular season in two weeks with Senior Day when they host Young Harris in a non-conference game on Saturday, April 25 at 3 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
