TAZEWELL, Tenn. --- The Tusculum Pioneers carded a 36-hole total 609 and are in 11^th place after day one of the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship. The two-day, 54-hole championship is being held at Woodlake Golf Club and hosted by Lincoln Memorial.

Tusculum opened the morning session with a team score of 312, but the Pioneers bounced back in the afternoon 18, shaving 15 shots off its opening score and posting 297, which was the seventh-lowest score in the second round.

Host LMU has the 36-hole lead after posting a 15-under par total 561 and leads by four strokes over Queens University of Charlotte (565, -11). Limestone is third with 569, followed by Carson-Newman (573), Newberry (587), Wingate (590), Lenoir-Rhyne (594), Coker (598), Anderson (602), Catawba (602), Tusculum (609), UVA Wise (652) and Mars Hill (681).

Individually, Tusculum freshman Dominic Barron Holden is tied for 30^th place with his 75-73=148. TU junior Nicholas Marchese is 35^th with 78-72=150 while freshman teammate Liam van Deventer is 42^nd with 78-75=153. Freshman Isak Holter is 52^nd with 82-77=159 and junior Kyle Engelbert is 54^th with 81-81=162.

LMU's Dan Bradbury, the 2021 SAC Golfer of the Year, has the 36-hole lead at 13-under with 64-67=131. He leads by six strokes over teammate Luke Harries (67-70=136, -7).

The final round of the SAC Men's Golf Championship will be played on Tuesday with split tee times on the par-72, 6,746-yard course. The Pioneers will be paired with Catawba and start on the 10^th hole beginning with tee times at 9:20 a.m.
