GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's golf team has released its 2021 spring schedule announced TU head coach Ross Cash.

After having last year's schedule cut short due to the COVID pandemic, the Pioneers are slated to compete in seven tournaments this spring, culminating with the South Atlantic Conference Championship in April.

Tusculum opens the season Feb. 15-16 at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in St. Augustine, Florida. This year's event will be held once again at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club and this year's field is expected to once again host some of the top golf programs in NCAA Division II.

Tusculum will travel to Memphis, Tennessee and the CBU Buccaneer Invitational hosted by Christian Brothers University. This year's event will be held at the Irene Golf & Country Club on Mar. 8-9. TU competed at CBU's spring event in 2019 where the Pioneers posted a top-five finish.

Tusculum returns closer to home Mar. 14-16 for the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The three-day tournament is being hosted by NCAA Division I Tennessee Tech, but held nearby at the Sevierville Golf Club.

That same week (Mar. 15-16), Tusculum will also send a team to Monroe, North Carolina for the Hargett Memorial hosted by Wingate University at Stonebridge Golf Club.  The Pioneers send a team to the Hargett Memorial for the first time since 2016 and its sixth trip overall. Tusculum has won this event on two occasions in 2011 and again in 2015.

The Pioneers will host the Tusculum Invitational on Mar. 22-23 for the 27^th edition of this long-time event, but will be held at Graysburg Hills Golf Club for the first time.  The 2019 spring home tournament was won by Tusculum for its fourth title in five years and 10^th overall in the storied history of the Invitational.

The Pioneers close out the regular season Mar. 29-30 at the Tennessee River Rumble in Loudon, Tennessee at Wind River Golf Club.  TU will be making its fifth appearance ever at the River Rumble.

On Apr. 19-20, the South Atlantic Conference Championship will be contested at Woodlake Golf Club in Tazewell, Tennessee, the home course of Lincoln Memorial University. Tusculum will be vying for its second SAC title and first since 2015. Woodlake hosts its first SAC Championship, but the venue is not new to the Tusculum program. The Pioneers have played 10 tournaments at Woodlake in its history with seven of those resulting top-four finishes including 2010 when TU claimed the team title at the LMU Fall Invitational.

The NCAA II South/Southeast Super Regional will be held May 5-7 in Bowling Green, Florida at the Streamsong Golf Resort. The NCAA National Championship will be conducted May 18-21 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
