SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College is in second place following day one of the 2014 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship, being played on the River Course at the Sevierville Golf Club.

The Pioneers shot 306 as a team on Sunday, and are one stroke behind Lincoln Memorial University entering Monday's second round. Four Pioneers are in the top 20 in the individual standings, led by Nick Forsberg who fired a two-over-par 74 and is in sole possession of second place.

Dakota Norton and Warren Cheney are tied for 10th place after each recorded a round of 77 on Sunday, while Coleman Glick shot 78 and is among four players tied for 20th place. Rounding out the lineup for the Pioneers is Leif Ratliff, who is in a tie for 56th place after an opening-round score of 86.

Tyler Stone of Wingate is the individual leader after shooting one-over-par 73 in Sunday's opening round. Three players are tied for third place at 75, with four more players deadlocked for sixth place following a round of 76, in a field of 60 golfers.

Trailing Lincoln Memorial and Tusculum in the team standings are Wingate (310) in third, followed by a three-way tie for fourth between Newberry, Queens and Carson-Newman at 313 apiece. A total of 12 schools are participating in the championship.

Round two of the three-day, 54-hole event will begin at 8:30 Monday morning, with the Pioneers scheduled to tee off starting at 10:45 a.m.
