GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College men's golf team finished tied for third place at the 21st annual Tusculum Invitational, which was held this weekend at Link Hills Country Club.

The Pioneers posted a two-day team score of 586, including Sunday's final round 295. Tusculum finished 11 shots behind tournament winner Lincoln Memorial University as the Railsplitters fired 575 to win the TC Invitational for a second straight year.

Tusculum sophomore Nick Forsberg was the top Pioneer finisher on the TC Orange team with his two-round score of 143, including a one-under par 70 in the final round. It is Forsberg's second straight top-five performance at Tusculum's spring event as he finished fourth at the 2013 TC Invitational.

LMU's Rand Wasson captured medalist honors as he won in a playoff with Andrew Hall of Walters State College. Wasson and Hall both finished the tournament a two-under par total of 140. Hall posted the low round of the day with his three-under par 68.

Lincoln Memorial won the team title by two strokes over Lee University as the Flames finished with 577. Tusculum and Tennessee Wesleyan College tied for third place with 586, while the LMU B team finished fifth with 590. Walters State was the sixth with 594, followed by USC Lancaster (605), Mars Hill University (606), Anderson University (607) and Milligan College (608) to round out the top-10.

Spartanburg Methodist College was 11th with 612, while the Tusculum "Black" team was 12th with 615. The Mars Hill B team finished 13th with 628; followed by Virginia-Wise (634), Bluefield State College (641), Parkland College (642), Marian University (644) and Urbana University (677).

Junior Coleman Glick tied for eighth place with 70-74=144 for the Tusculum Orange team, while freshman teammate Chris Hutson finished a shot behind with 71-74=145 to tie for 12th. Senior Dakota Norton posted 78-77=155 to tie for 48th in his final home tournament of his Tusculum career. Rookie Taylor Smith finished 56th with 77-80=157 to round out the scoring for TC Orange.

Junior Warren Cheney led the Tusculum Black team finishing tied for eighth with 73-71=144, while rookie teammate Jake Mendenhall finished 21st with 74-74=148. Junior Leif Ratliff finished 56th with 81-76=157, while sophomore Samuel Davis placed 82nd with 83-83=166.

Tusculum returns to action March 17-18 as the play at the Pinehurst Challenge in North Carolina.
