ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College freshman
golfer Nick Forsberg has been named to the All-South Atlantic
Conference second team announced league officials Thursday.
The Staples, Minn. native has posted a 74.29 scoring average this
year, which is the seventh lowest in Tusculum single-season and is
currently the best stroke average ever posted by a Pioneer
rookie.
Forsberg has finished in the top-20 in six of his nine events
this year, including three top-five performances. He tallied a
pair of fourth place showings at the Walters State Fall Classic and
the Tusculum Invitational. He also tied for fifth at the State
Farm Intercollegiate and 11th at the Tusculum Fall Classic.
He has shot par or better in three rounds this season, including a
season-best one-under par in the final round of the TC Fall
Classic.
The Pioneers will travel to Sevierville, Tenn. this weekend for the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championship, which will be held on the River Course at the Sevierville Golf Club.
