ORANGE PARK , Fla. --- Tusculum freshman Nick Forsberg shot a one-over par 72 to post a two-day score of 145 to finish 12th at the Spring Kick-off Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Fleming Island Golf Club. The Pioneers carded a two-day score of 309-303=612 to place 12th in the team competition.

Georgia Southwestern led wire-to-wire as the Hurricanes shot 571 to finish 13 strokes ahead of runner-up King (584). Lincoln Memorial, Central Oklahoma and Saint Leo each shot 586 to finish in a three-way tie for third place. Wingate was sixth with 588, followed by Montevallo (591), Carson-Newman (604), Flagler (607), Lenoir-Rhyne (610), Clayton State (611), Tusculum, Cape Fear (613), Coker (616), Limestone (617), Catawba (622) and Tiffin (629).

Montevallo's Conner Godsey captured medalist honors with his 71-69=140, edging out Georgia Southwestern's Anders Olsson and Saint Leo's Nick Brothers at 141. Olsson made the biggest charge on Tuesday with his final round 66 (-5).

Senior Derek Cantrell shot 74-78=152 to tie for 39th place while sophomore Warren Cheney posted a 10-stroke improvement from Monday with his final round 73. Cheney finished with 156 to tie for 52nd place. Senior Nick York posted 79-80=159 to finish 67th, while Dakota Norton tallied 88-85=173 to finish 87th.

Tusculum returns to action Mar. 4-5 at the Richard Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
