PINEVILLE, Ky. --- Tusculum's Nick York carded a three-under par 69 to finish third at the 2012 State Farm Intercollegiate. The Pioneers posted a final round 291 to finish with 590 and placed third in the team competition.

The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course and hosted by Lincoln Memorial University.

King College won the team title as they finished at 582, two shots ahead of LMU White and eight strokes better than Tusculum. Belmont Abbey was fourth with 596, followed by Walters State (602), LMU Blue (603), Wingate (605), Catawba (605), North Greenville (607), Lenoir-Rhyne (607), Anderson (609), LMU Gray (614), Pfeiffer (615), Thomas More (640) and Mars Hill (647).

York made a late charge as he birdied his final three holes and four of his last five to post a two-day score of 75-69=144.

Nick Forsberg posted back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish with 146 and tied for fifth place. Forsberg birdied his first hole, but got a double-bogey seven on his second hole. He followed with eight straight pars and finished with a birdie and a bogey down the stretch to record his second straight 73 in as many days.

Dakota Norton carded a 74 to finish with 149 for the tournament, which was good enough to tie for 15th place. Norton's round included three birdies on his first four holes. But he would also posts five bogeys during his round, coupled with 10 pars for his 74.

Leif Ratliff shot a 75 on Tuesday to finish with 151 and tied for 26th. Ratliff rebounded from a sluggish start as he bogeyed his first three holes, but bounced back with back-to-back birdies on at No. 14 & 15. He would post a bogey and a double-bogey on his way to the clubhouse, but answered with a birdie two on his last hole to finish with 75.

David Talley rounded out the scoring with his 77 to finish with 153 and tied for 38th place. Coleman Glick, playing as an individual competitor, finished with 78-77=155 to tie for 45th.

LMU'S Jamie Chapman captured medalist honors as he fired and final round 66 to finish with 139 (-5), three shots ahead of runner-up Richard Powell of King (72-70=142) and five strokes better than York and Arran Setro of Anderson (71-73=144).

Tusculum will close out the fall portion of its schedule on Oct .29-30 as the Pioneers compete at the Walters State Invitational.
