BLOOMINGTON, Ill. --- Tusculum College's Nick York and Derek Cantrell are listed in the final Golfstat NCAA Division II statistics announced officials Wednesday.
The Pioneers are listed in two team categories, including 23rd in total eagles (23) and 43rd in team par three scoring (3.31).
York, a junior from Kingsport, Tenn., is listed twice in the individual statistics. The three-time SAC All-Tournament honoree is listed 45th in eagles (3) and 68th in par three scoring (3.18). The Sullivan South High School graduate led the Pioneers with his 74.37 scoring average, which is the seventh lowest in school history. He recorded six top-20 performances this past season, including his first place finish at the Anderson Invitational and finished third out of 99 golfers at the Tusculum Invitational. York's career stroke average of 74.39 is currently the second lowest in TC history.
Cantrell, a junior from Knoxville, Tenn., led the Pioneers with his four eagles, which are tied for the 18th most in the nation. The Halls High School graduate finished third on the team with his 75.89 scoring average, including five top-20 finishes, including a fifth-place showing at the Honda Columbia Classic.
The Pioneers finished in the top-5 on five occasions, including tournament wins at the Anderson Invitational and the Tusculum Invitational.
