GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Nicholas Forsberg and Samuel Davis have committed to attend Tusculum College and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC men's coach Bob Dibble.
Forsberg, a product of Staples, Minn., shot a seven-under par 65 in the Sub-State for Staples Motley High School. He has qualified for the Minnesota State Championship every year since the eighth grade with his best round being a 72. He was also the winner of the Birchmont Match Play Championship.
"There is no doubt in my mind that Nick will be an immediate impact player on our men's team," said Dibble. "He is a very strong player with a great attitude for the game."
Davis, a native of Harriman, Tenn., played his prep golf at Harriman High School. He finished runner-up at the District 4A-AA Tournament and placed in the top 15 of the Tennessee Golf Association Junior Tour rankings. He was also the recipient of the 2011 Toyota Spirit of the Game Award from the TGA Tour.
"Samuel will be a great addition to the team in a lot of ways," Dibble added. "With a little more tournament experience, Samuel will make a lot of trips and be a big contributor to the success of the team."
Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference, which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
