BLOOMINGTON, Ill. --- The Tusculum College men's golf team is listed 23rd in the nation according to this week's Golfstat NCAA Division II head-to-head standings.
The Pioneers won the Anderson University Invitational to open the season and followed with runner-up performances at the Honda Columbia Classic and the Tusculum Fall Classic.
Tusculum's 73.80 team scoring average is the 16th-best in the country, while the Pioneers are also tied for 14th in the land in team par three scoring (3.18).
Junior Nick York (Kingsport, Tenn.) leads the way for Tusculum with his 72.3 scoring average. York has finished in the top 20 in all three events this fall and captured medalist honors at the Anderson Invitational. Junior David Talley (Bristol, Va.) is second with his 72.7 average as he has been in the top 20 in every tournament so far, including a second place finish at the Honda Columbia Classic.
Tusculum returns to action Oct. 17-18 as the Pioneers play in the Lincoln Memorial Fall Invitational in Pineville, Ky.
