ANDERSON, S.C. --- Nick York birdied the fourth playoff to lead the Tusculum College men's golf team to its second straight title at the Anderson University Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held this week at Cobb's Glen Country Club.

Tusculum posted 589 to win by four shots to capture its fourth overall team trophy at the Anderson Invitational as the Pioneers also won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.

York fired a one-under par 71 in his final round to finish with 143 to punch his ticket for a playoff with Brad Thorne of Erskine. York wins medalist honors for a second time in his career, winning the 2010 Lincoln Memorial University Fall Invitational.

Lenoir-Rhyne finished runner-up with 593, followed by Tri-County College (602), Erskine (604), Pfeiffer (608), Anderson (609), Spartanburg Methodist (611), Limestone (612) and Brevard (622).

Tusculum's Justin Harvey finished third with 70-75=145, while David Talley tied for 10th place with 78-72=150. Derek Cantrell posted a final round 76 to shoot 153 for the tournament and tie for 20th and Dakota Norton rounded out the scoring with 76-84=160 to tie for 39th. TC rookie Leif Ratliff shot 82-77=159 as an individual competitor to tie for 37th place in his collegiate debut.

The team title was the 29th career win for Tusculum head coach Bob Dibble.

The Pioneers return to action this Saturday as they compete at the Honda Columbia Classic in Prosperity, S.C.
