CORDOVA, Tenn. --- Three members of the Tusculum College men's golf team continued play on Thursday in the third round of the 96th annual Tennessee State Amateur Championship. The four-day, 72-hole tournament is being held this week at the Colonial Country Club South Course.

The Tusculum junior trio of Nick York, Derek Cantrell and David Talley will wrap up play in the State Amateur on Friday with the fourth and final round.

York, a Kingsport, Tenn. product, shot 82 on Thursday to give him a three-day tally of 237 and is tied for 55th place.

Cantrell, a native of Knoxville, Tenn. (Halls HS), posted an 84 and is tied for 57th place with 238. Talley (Bristol, Va./Virginia HS) is also tied for 57th with 238, following his third round 82.
