Three commit to Tusculum Men's Golf Team

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Three student-athletes have committed to attend Tusculum College and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC men's golf Bob Dibble. Joining the Tusculum men's golf team next fall are Coleman Glick, Leif Ratliff and Warren Cheney.

Glick, a native of Columbus, Ind., is a First Team All-Conference honoree from Columbus High School. Last spring, Glick won the prestigious Indiana Conference Championship. He currently plays out of one of the top golf layouts in the country at Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, which has hosted many national tournaments over the years.

"Coleman will fit in immediately with the team and should vie for one of the top spots in our starting line-up," said Dibble.

Ratliff, a product of Fall Branch, Tenn., has gained a great deal of tournament experience and is ranked sixth (of 236) on the AAJGT Tour with a 73 scoring average.

"Leif possesses a great golf swing and a matching attitude," Dibble added. "There is no question in my mind that when we get on the road next fall, Leif will be there challenging for the No. 1 spot."

Cheney comes to Tusculum from Father Ryan High School in his native Nashville, Tenn. He finished runner-up in 2009 at the Bruin Invitational with a 68. He placed third in the Davidson Invitational with a 74 and in 2010, he finished third in a AAJGT event at the Legends course in Franklin with 71. Cheney finished runner-up at the AAJGT event at the Tennessee National with a 70-76=146 (without a practice round), while winning the USJGT event in Nashville with 71-75=146.

"Warren will step in and challenge our top players in the fall and it should be fun to watch and good for the team," Dibble said.

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
