TAZEWELL, Tenn. --- Tusculum College's Nick York shot a four-under par 68 and is in second place after the opening round of the Lincoln Memorial University Fall Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament is being held at the 6,771-yard, par 72 course.

The Pioneers shot a two-over par team score of 290 and is in third place, just two shots out of the lead held by King College (288). Host Lincoln Memorial is second with 289, followed by Tusculum, LMU B (291), North Greenville (295), Cape Fear (295), Anderson (296), Lenoir-Rhyne (301), Brevard (302), Catawba (302), Limestone (304), Walters State (305), Tennessee Wesleyan (309), Virginia-Wise (323) and Hiwassee (339).

York posted and even-par on his outward nine, but posted a four-under 32 on the back nine and is one shot behind first-round leader Josh Bamberger of King. Tusculum's Luke Fullen posted an even par 72 and is tied for 13th place. Derek Cantrell is tied for 19th with 73, while David Talley is tied for 43rd place with 77. Dakota Norton rounded out the Tusculum scoring shooting 82 which is tied for 68th. Tusculum senior Lawson George, playing as an individual competitor, is tied for 43rd with 77.

The final round of the LMU Invitational will be held on Tuesday.
