GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Lenoir-Rhyne's Jack Garrett shot a tournament and South Atlantic Conference record 63 to lead the Bears to the team title at the 17th annual Tusculum College Men's Golf Invitational Sunday at Link Hills Country Club.

Lenoir-Rhyne posted a final day 286 to tie a tournament record with a two-day 564 (-4) to claim the team championship. L-R matches the 564 posted by Coker College last season. The Bears won by 10 shots over Tusculum "Orange" as the Pioneers carded 574.

Garrett recorded nine birdies on the day, including four in a row on holes two through five. He bogeyed the par-three 14th hole, but answered with a birdie on the 18th to post the lowest round in the 17-year history of the tournament. His 134 established a new 36-hole tournament record, while also tying the lowest two-round tally in SAC history. The previous 134 was also recorded at Link Hills by Tusculum All-American Chase Carroll at the 2006 Tusculum Fall Classic.

Catawba and Findlay tied for third place at 578, while Walters State finished fifth with 581. Lincoln Memorial shot 582 to finish sixth, including Sunday's 286. USC Lancaster finished seventh with 588, while Anderson (S.C.) and Limestone tied for eighth place with 590. Tusculum "Black" carded 601 to finish 10th, followed by Spartanburg Methodist (606), Tennessee Wesleyan (606), Brevard (609), Tri-County (611), Mars Hill (611), Virginia Intermont (615) and Tiffin (622).

USC Lancaster's Trevor Banks was the medalist runner-up as he posted a five-under par 137, which is the second lowest 36-hole tally in tournament history. Luke Fullen of Tusculum "Orange" finished third with 69-69=138 (-4). The Walters State duo of Lucas Tabor and Matthew Smith tied for fourth with 140 (-2) to round out the 2010 All-Tournament Team.

Brad Williams (Limestone), Jason Garrett (Lenoir-Rhyne) and Justin Watren (Findlay) each shot 142 and finished win a three-way tie for sixth place, while Glenn Vicary (Tusculum Orange), Taylor Banks (USC Lancaster), Chase Epting (Anderson), Jonathan Clapp (Catawba) and Brandon Squier (Lenoir-Rhyne) tied for ninth with 143 (+1).

Lawson George fired a 144 to finish tied for 14th for Tusculum Orange, while Houston White and Nick York tied for 43rd place with 150.

Leading the charge for Tusculum "Black" was senior Will Loggin, who finished with 145, including a career-low round of 69 to tie for 21st. Matt McIntyre tied for 33rd place with 148, while Derek Cantrell finished 54th with 153. Matt Poff posted a 155 (T63), while Justin Harvey tallied 162 (T88) to round out the scoring for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers will be in action on March 27th for the Tusculum/Lincoln Memorial Match Play event in Knoxville.
