Norton, Fletcher Sign with Tusculum Men's Golf

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Dakota Norton and Wes Fletcher have signed national letters of intent to attend Tusculum College and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC men's coach Bob Dibble.

Norton, a 5-10 local product from Greeneville, Tenn., comes to Tusculum from Greeneville High School. He captured three TGA Tournaments this past season and finished in the top 10 in all 11 events that he competed, including a low round of 64.

"Dakota is an outstanding young man with an excellent golf swing and a desire to win every time he steps on the golf course," said Dibble. "Watch for him to make the starting five many times in his freshman year. We are proud to have him on the team."

Fletcher, a 5-11 native of Bristol, Virginia, has shined on the golf team at Virginia High School. He finished third at the 2009 Virginia State High School Championship, posting 76-74=150. Fletcher was also a high teammate of current Pioneer David Talley.

"Wes hits the ball a very long ways and has an excellent short game," added Dibble. "He will definitely be a positive influence for our program."

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn. is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
