ANDERSON, S.C. --- Tusculum College rookie David Talley posted consecutive rounds of 74 to shoot 148 and tie for sixth place at the 2009 Anderson University Invitational, held this week at Cobb's Glen Golf Course.

Talley finished four shots behind tournament medalist Brad Caldwell of North Greenville University, who won in a playoff over Anderson's Ryan Booth.

The Pioneers shot 308 for a second straight day to finish fifth at 616. Lincoln Memorial University won the team championship with 598, including Tuesday's final round 295. Limestone College finished second with 600, while North Greenville and Anderson tied for third with 606. Tusculum was fifth, followed by Wingate University (617), Catawba College (621), Erskine College (624) and Lenoir-Rhyne University (625).

Rookie Nick York tied for 14th with his two-day 152, including a one-over par 73 in the final round. Luke Fullen tied for 24th with 156, followed by Glenn Vicary (34th, 160) and Will Loggins (37th, 163).

The Pioneers return to action Sept. 28-29 as they host the Tusculum Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club.
