TAZEWELL, Tenn. --- Tusculum College freshman David Talley fired a three-par 69 and shares the first round lead at the Lincoln Memorial Fall Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole tournament is being conducted on the 6,771-yard, par 72 Woodlake Golf Course.

Tusculum has four players in the top 20 as the Pioneers posted a two-over par 290 and is in third place, three shots behind host Lincoln Memorial (287) and two behind North Greenville (288).

Talley, a native of Bristol, Va., is tied with LMU's Eric Kennedy who also posted a 69. Eighteen players are within three shots of the lead including Greeneville, Tenn. products Luke Fullen and Matt McIntyre. Fullen posted a one-under par 71 and is tied for fourth place, while McIntrye, playing as an individual competitor, is in a five-way tie for 14th place, but only three shots back with a 73.

TC's Nick York, a freshman from Kingsport, Tenn., is tied for 19th place with 74, while Oak Ridge, Tenn. senior Glenn Vicary posted a 76 and is tied for 31st. Sophomore Matt Poff (Roanoke, Va.) rounds out the Tusculum scoring with his opening round 80 and is tied for 47th.

Catawba is fourth with 296, followed by Tennessee Wesleyan (298), Lenoir-Rhyne (301), Limestone (304), LMU Gray (307), Brevard (308), King (312), Walters State (312), Mars Hill (324), and Young Harris (324).

The final round will be played on Tuesday.
