The Pioneer men won its fourth straight Classic title by posting a two-day tally of 576, winning by four shots over Catawba College (580) and six ahead of Lincoln Memorial University (582). Leading the charge for Tusculum was freshman David Talley, who carded a two-under par 140, including Tuesday's round 69 to win medalist honors, edging Catawba's Jonathan Clapp by a single shot (141). Catawba's Eric Schmehl and LMU's Eric Kennedy tied for third at 142, as both matched Talley's 69 on Tuesday. Tusculum senior Glenn Vicary and Newberry's (B Team) Matthew Campbell both finished fifth with 143, but Vicary captured the final spot on the All-Tournament team via a scorecard playoff.

Belmont Abbey had a record-breaking day as the Crusaders established several Classic records to win this tournament for a second straight year. Belmont Abbey finished with a tournament-record 615, including an 18-hole record 303 on Tuesday. The two scores break the marks established last year by Belmont Abbey. The Crusaders were paced by Michele Low's two-day 76-70=146 (+2) to capture medalist honors, winning by five shots over 2008 Classic medalist Kelsey Babos (Catawba). Low's two-under par 70 is the lowest round ever in Classic history, while her 36-hole tally is also a new record.

Joining Low and Babos on the All-Tournament team are Katja Dammann (UNC Pembroke), Andrea Velasquez (Wingate) and Ashley Denton (Wingate).

In the combined championship, Tusculum won the title with 1218, just three shots ahead of Catawba (1221) and Wingate University (1227), last year's combined champion. LMU (1240) finished fourth, followed by Lenoir-Rhyne University (1257), Spartanburg Methodist College (1312), Brevard College (1339) and Mars Hill College (1352).

Tusculum rookies Luke Fullen and Derek Cantrell (playing as an individual competitor) both tied for 10th place in the Men's tournament with 145. On the Women's side, TC freshman Jillian Corum tied for ninth place with back-to-back rounds of 79-79=158.
