CARROLL SHOOTS 68 IN OPENING ROUND OF TUSCULUM INVITATIONAL

Chase Carroll GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum's Chase Carroll fired an opening round two-under-par 68 on Saturday at the 16th annual Tusculum Men's Golf Invitational at Link Hills Country Club, and is one shot back of Lincoln Memorial University's Brad Greenside for the individual title.

The Pioneers posted a team score of 285, which puts them four strokes back of Limestone College's total of 281. Limestone's one-day total is two strokes shy of the tournament record of 279 set by Johnson & Wales University in 2003.

Lawson George
shot a one-under-par 70 for Tusculum, while Darren Christie and Will Loggins posted scores of 73 and 74, respectively. Jake Scheffers recorded a 79 to round out the Tusculum scoring.

The final round will be held Sunday at Link Hill Country Club.
