ANDERSON, S.C. --- Four Anderson University players scored in double figures to lead the Trojans to an 81-53 South Atlantic Conference win over visiting Tusculum College Wednesday night at the Abney Athletic Center in men's basketball action.

Anderson (15-6, 11-2 SAC) remains tied atop the league standings (with Wingate), while completing the season sweep over the Pioneers (5-16, 3-10 SAC).

Denzail Jones recorded 14 points and seven rebounds, while Bo Holston added 14 markers on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor. Myson Jones and Chandler Hash scored 12 and 11 points, respectively as the duo finished with three 3-pointers apiece.

Tusculum freshman Keith Jumper led the Pioneers with a dozen points and seven rebounds, while rookie Rory McClure added a season-high seven markers off the bench. The TC trio of Nick Spinks, JD Miller and Neal Spinks accounted for six points each in the loss.

The Trojans used a 26-6 run in the first half over a span of 9:46 en route to taking a 43-25 lead at the intermission. Following a Neal Spinks jumper to tie the game at 10-10 at the 13:16 mark of the opening period, Anderson scored eight unanswered points, including a Hash three-pointer to give the Trojans an 18-10 advantage.

Jumper scored a bucket following a TC timeout, but the Trojans fired back with an 18-4 spurt, including three consecutive treys to give the home team a 36-16 lead with 3:30 left in the half.

DJ McGown's three-pointer to open the second half pushed the Anderson lead to 21, but Jumper answered with five straight points, including a three-point play to bring Tusculum back to within 16 at 46-30 with 17:28 left. But a 14-2 run over the next three minutes would put the contest out of reach for the Pioneers.

AU finished the game shooting 52.6 percent from the floor, including 12-of-24 from three-point territory. Tusculum was limited to 38 percent shooting, including 10-of-29 in the first period (34.5%).

The Pioneers return home this Saturday to host Catawba College for a 4 p.m. contest. It is "Pack the Arena" Day as all fans will be admitted free. The Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Council will be raffling off a 47" HD Television. Raffle tickets are $5 each will all proceeds going towards the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation.
