GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College and the
Pioneer Sports Network have announced the radio coverage for the
quarterfinal round of the 2012 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference
Basketball Tournament.
The women's quarterfinal between No. 3 seed Tusculum and
sixth-seeded Newberry College, to be played at TC's Pioneer Arena,
will be aired on WSMG (1450-AM), beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the
Pioneer Pre-Game Show, with tip-off slated for 7 p.m. Veteran
broadcaster Justin Jeffers will handle the play-by-play duties for
the women's game.
The men's quarterfinal with No. 7 Tusculum traveling to No. 2 seed Lincoln Memorial University will be aired on WIKQ (103.1 FM) with the pre-game beginning at 6:30 p.m. and tip-off at 7 p.m. from LMU's Tex Turner Arena. The "Voice of the Pioneers" Brian Stayton will be in Harrogate, Tenn. to describe all the action.
The broadcasts for both games will also be available on the Internet at TusculumPioneers.com and Red Zone Media.
All quarterfinal winners will advance to this weekend's semifinal and final rounds of the Food Lion SAC Tournament, to be held at the Tarleton Complex on the campus of Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, N.C.
