INDIANAPOLIS - Tusculum College senior guard Kevin Vest is 21st in the country in free throw percentage according to this week's NCAA Division II men's basketball statistics.

Vest, a 6-1, 170-pound native of Dayton, Ohio, is shooting 89.6 percent from the charity stripe, which is the second-best average in the South Atlantic Conference. He has connected on his last 24 straight free throw attempts, including last Wednesday's 11-for-11 effort against Carson-Newman College.

Tusculum (7-7, 4-2 SAC) is also listed in three team categories, including 38th in field goal percentage (.485), 41st in free throw percentage (.738) and 43rd in field goal percentage defense (.412). TC's team free throw percentage is also tops in the SAC as the Pioneers are gunning 80.5 percent (66-of-82) from the foul line in the month of January.

The Pioneers begin a four-game road-trip on Wednesday as they travel to Anderson, S.C. to face league-leader Anderson University (11-3, 6-0 SAC). Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. from the Abney Athletic Center.
