ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College's Rob Troutman has been named to the 2010-2011 All-South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Second Team announced league officials Friday.

Troutman, a 6-5, 205-pound senior from Mt. Washington, Ky., leads the Pioneers (12-17) in scoring averaging 13.3 points per game. The Bullitt East High School graduate has scored in double figures in his last 13 outings, including Wednesday's 14-point performance in TC's 67-62 triple overtime win over Newberry College in the quarterfinal round of the Food Lion SAC Tournament. On Wednesday, Troutman also recorded his 1,000th career point, becoming the 22nd player in school history to achieve the feat. His 1,003 career points are currently 20th in Tusculum history.

Troutman is the league's No. 1 free throw shooter at 85 percent and is also seventh in three-point field goal percentage (41.1%) and fifth in three-point field goals made per game (2.25). He is also averaging 4.1 rebounds per game, while his 35.9 minutes per contest is the second highest average in the league. He has also connected on a three-point field goal in his last 16 games.

Troutman was named the SAC Statistical Champion for free throw percentage. As a team, Tusculum was also the statistical champion for free throw percentage (.779) and scoring defense (64.8 ppg).

Troutman has played in 116 games in his Tusculum career, including 86 starts. He has also logged 3,357 minutes, 458 rebounds, 247 assists and 67 steals. He is shooting 74.8 percent from the free throw line for his career, including 79.5 percent in his final three seasons (82.6% last two years).

Tusculum is the No. 5 seed in this year's SAC Tournament and will face top-seed and 12th-ranked Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday in a semifinal contest at 5:30 p.m. at the Catawba Valley Community College Arena in Hickory, N.C.
