INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum College men's basketball team is 10th in the nation in free throw percentage according to this week's NCAA Division II statistics.

The Pioneers (10-12, 7-5 SAC) are shooting 77.2 percent from the free throw line, which is also tops in the South Atlantic Conference and third in the Southeast Region. TC has been a model of consistency over the last three seasons, in leading the league at the charity stripe in each of those campaigns.

Tusculum is also 22nd in the country in scoring defense as the Pioneers are allowing just 63.7 points per contest (1st in SAC/3rd in Region). TC is also 40th in the land in field goal percentage, shooting 47.7 percent from the floor, which is second in the league and fourth in the region.

Tusculum will host Carson-Newman College on Wednesday for an 8 p.m. SAC tilt at Pioneer Arena. Air Elite, Inc. (slam dunk acrobatic group) will be performing at halftime of Wednesday's game.
