GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's beach volleyball team hosted its first-ever event on Saturday (Oct. 14) as nearby Lincoln Memorial made its way to Greeneville.
Tusculum (0-1) rounds out its home portion of the schedule with a multi-team weekend (Oct. 21-22), bringing in Erskine, Webber International, and Stevenson. Day one is scheduled for team competition, while pairs will compete on Sunday.
Match 1: Lincoln Memorial 5, Tusculum 0
The Railsplitters took all six doubles matches in straight sets.
The top pairing of Kevin Blankenship and Joe Dubinsky fell 21-14, 21-17.
Colby Landry and Adam Svendsen were tabbed as the No. 2 flight, dropping a 21-17, 21-16 decision.
Morgan Makovec and Noa Svendsen nearly forced a third set in their No. 3 duel: 21-12, 22-20.
At No. 4, Deklan Wingo and Tristan Blake had the closest match up of the outing with scores of 21-17, 25-23.
To finalize the outcome, Thiago Da Silva and Shane O'Neal recorded a 21-11, 21-18 loss.
In the exhibition flight, Jabes de la Cruz and Corey Long finished in a 21-11, 21-17 deficit.
