NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College running
back Isaac Robinson has been named the College Offensive Football
Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association
(TSWA).
Robinson, a 5-11, 205-pound sophomore from Palmyra, Virginia,
rushed for a school single-game record 250 yards and two touchdowns
in the Pioneers' 20-0 South Atlantic Conference victory at Brevard
College last Saturday. For his efforts, he was also named the SAC
Offensive Player of the Week.
The 250-yard performance breaks the previous program best of 245
yards set by Walter Dette against Biltmore (now UNC Asheville) in
1930, a record which has stood for the last 85 years. Robinson
also established school records with his 39 rushing attempts.
Tusculum (2-3, 1-2 SAC) returns to action this Saturday when they host 23rd-ranked Wingate University for Homecoming at Pioneer Field. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.
