GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College will be holding cheerleading and mascot tryouts for the 2014-2015 academic year on Saturday, May 3rd at Pioneer Arena on the Greeneville campus announced TC head coach Jessica Inscore. Tryouts will take place from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Check-in and registration will be held from 9-9:30 a.m. and participants are asked to wear an orange t-shirt and black shorts.

Fourteen (14) cheerleading and two (2) mascot positions are open and scholarships are available.

Tryouts will start at 9:30 a.m. with teaching of a new cheer, followed by judging of tumbling, jumps, prepared cheer and new cheer.

Requirements for cheerleaders (male/female): Acceptance letter to Tusculum College or a valid TC Student ID; prepared cheer; toe touch; tumbling pass; back handspring (no assistance); new cheer.

Requirements for Male and/or Female mascot (Pioneer Pete): Acceptance letter to Tusculum College or a valid TC Student ID; prepared, short skit.

Tryout forms and medical release forms are available on-line on the cheerleading page of the Tusculum College Athletic web site (www.TusculumPioneers.com).

Please bring completed forms and the $10 tryout fee made payable to Tusculum Athletics/Cheerleading.
