GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University Athletics has officially started a fundraising campaign at Pioneer Park, the home of TU Baseball, for a state-of-the-art, LED scoreboard to enhance the facility's game day experience.

The overall dimensions of the proposed scoreboard measure at 30' x 16' with a 10mm full color LED video display and will be located in left field of Pioneer Park.

The new video display would replace the original scoreboard, which suffered extensive storm damage this past summer including the electrical system powering it.

"With the loss of our veteran scoreboard, this has opened up a new opportunity for us to look at options for the future. We have the best baseball facility in NCAA Division II and this will allow us to upgrade to a more modern video scoreboard," said TU head coach Brandon Steele.

"By making the leap to add a video board the experience for our student-athletes and fans will improve tremendously. Not to mention the impressive features and design will match the scale and beauty of Pioneer Park. It's my sincere hope that our alumni and supporters will take this opportunity to join us in a campaign to make this vision a reality."

The facility has served as the home to Pioneer Baseball since 2002 and has also served as the minor league home for the Greeneville Astros, Greeneville Reds and currently the Greeneville Flyboys.
