COLUMBUS, Ga. --- Due to inclement weather which hit the Columbus area the schedule for the 2016 NCAA Division II Southeast Region Baseball Championship has been altered, including Tusculum's game on Saturday announced tournament officials.

Game No. 4 of the tournament, the elimination game between No. 6 seed Catawba and No. 7 seed Mount Olive is being played on Friday.

There will be four games played on Saturday at Burger King Stadium on the campus of Columbus State University. At 10 a.m., top-seed CSU will face No. 4 seed USC Aiken in a winner's bracket semifinal. At 1:30 p.m., No. 2 seed Lander and No. 3 seed Belmont Abbey will play in the other winner's bracket semifinal.

The winner of the Catawba/Mount Olive game will take on the loser of the USC Aiken/Columbus State game at 5 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., Tusculum will face the loser of the Lander/Belmont Abbey game in an elimination contest.

The tournament continues on Sunday with three games beginning with the winner's bracket final at noon, followed by elimination games at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The Southeast Region championship game(s) will be played on Monday starting at noon.

Tusculum (36-17) dropped a tough 2-1 decision to USC Aiken on Thursday in the tournament's opening game.

The Pioneers are making their seventh NCAA postseason appearance in program history.
