COLUMBUS, Ga. --- Six Tusculum student-athletes have been named to the 2012 Daktronics Division II All-Southeast Region Baseball Team.

Craig Goodman, Cade Stallings, Aaron Guinn and Cody Coffman were named to the All-Region First Team, while Alexi Colon and Carlos Santana garnered Second Team recognition.

Tusculum's six honorees are the most by one school in the region, including a four on the first team.

Goodman, a senior from Clearwater, Fla., was named the South Atlantic Conference co-Pitcher of the Year and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Southeast Region Pitcher of the Year. The two-time All-SAC First Team standout posted a 10-0 record in his 13 starts, including three complete games. He posted a 2.00 earned run average, which is tied for the fourth lowest in school history. The Clearwater High School graduate pitched in 94.1 innings (5th in TC history) and established a new school single-season record with 89 strikeouts. He was named a national semifinalist for the Tino Martinez DII National Player of the Year Award.

For his career, Goodman went 22-6 (3rd in TC history) with a 2.78 ERA (T4th in TC history) in his 45 appearances, including 32 starts (T3rd in TC history). He pitched in 220 innings (4th in TC history), accounting for 196 career strikeouts for the second most in school history.

Stallings, a junior third baseman from Knoxville, Tenn., garners his second All-Region accolade this season, after being tabbed to the NCBWA All-Region First Team. The University of Louisville transfer batted .367 with 80 hits (T8th in TC history), including 16 doubles, 11 home runs (T10th in TC history) and a team-best 63 RBI (T7th in TC history). His 64 runs scored are tied for the seventh most in school history. The Farragut High School graduate was hit by a pitch 17 times, which are the second most in TC history and one shy of the school record. He also recorded seven sacrifice flies, which are tied for the second most ever by a Pioneer.

Guinn, a senior outfielder from Norris, Tenn., garners All-Region honors for the first time in his Tusculum career. He finished second on the team with his .398 batting average, which is currently 41s in the nation. Guinn amassed 92 hits in his final collegiate campaign, which are the third most in Tusculum history and currently the second-most in the country this year. The Pigeon Forge High School graduate tallied 17 doubles, a triple, seven home runs and 51 RBI. He also made just one error in his 206 total fielding chances for a .995 fielding percentage, which is tied for the second highest in school history, earning him a spot on the SAC Gold Glove Team.

During his 133-game career, Guinn posted a .363 career average with 90 runs scored, 145 hits, 25 doubles, two triples, eight home runs and 80 RBI. His .990 career fielding percentage is the fifth highest in school history, making only five errors in over 500 chances.

Coffman, a senior from Cape Coral, Fla., was named the All-Region utility player, splitting time at first base and catcher. The All-SAC Second Team catcher led the Pioneers with his .417 batting average, which is currently 13th in NCAA II and the eighth-best average ever by a TC player. Coffman is fourth in the country with his 90 hits (4th in TC history), including19 doubles, a triple, nine home runs and 62 RBI. Coffman's 19 doubles are 27th in the nation and tied for eighth in TC history. He has scored 52 runs, while drawing 41 walks (25th in NCAA II) against just 17 strikeouts.

During this season, Coffman posted a 26-game hitting streak, the second longest in school history. He wrapped up his collegiate career reaching base safely in 39 consecutive games, including a home run on his final collegiate at-bat against eventual NCAA regional winner Catawba.

At last week's NCAA Southeast Regional in Mount Olive, N.C., Coffman batted .533 (8-for-15) with four RBI, including two home runs and a triple. For his efforts, he was named to the Southeast Regional All-Tournament Team at first base. He was also recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team.

In his two-year career at Tusculum, Coffman posted the seventh-best batting average in school history at .391 in his 105 games in a Pioneer uniform. He recorded 141 hits, including 28 doubles, three triples, 12 home runs and 97 RBI. His .485 career on-base percentage is tied for the third highest in school history.

Colon, a senior from Vineland, N.J., is second in the nation this year with 21 home runs, which are tied for the second most in school history. Colon batted .318, while leading the team with 69 runs scored and posted 61 hits, 11 doubles, three triples and 50 RBI. His 67 base on balls this season are the most in school and South Atlantic Conference history and tied for the 11th most ever by a NCAA II player.

Colon, a two-time All-Conference selection, leaves Tusculum as its third-leading home run hitter, belting 33 over the last two seasons. He also leaves the Pioneers fifth in slugging percentage (.681), second in walks (105) and ninth in on-base percentage (.472). Including his 2009 campaign at Division II Dominican, Colon belted 42 home runs in his collegiate career.

Santana, a senior from the Dominican Republic, rounds out the All-Region squad at designated hitter. The All-SAC Second Team choice finished fourth on the team with his .352 average with 44 hits, including nine doubles, a triple, a home run and 27 RBI. Santana hit safely in eight of his last 10 games and batted .500 at the Food Lion SAC Tournament.

In his 55 games at Tusculum, Santana batted .347 with 52 hits, 41 runs, 10 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 39 RBI.

Goodman, Stallings, Guinn and Coffman will move on to the Daktronics All-America Ballot. The Daktronics All-America programs honor student-athletes in Division II athletic programs. The voting, nomination and calculations are all conducted by the region's sports information directors.

Tusculum accounted for one of the best seasons in school history. The Pioneers posted a sterling 48-10 record, including 24-3 in South Atlantic Conference play as TC captured both the league's regular season and tournament championships. Tusculum advanced to the NCAA Tournament for a sixth time in school history where the Pioneers went 2-2 to finish third at the Southeast Regional. TC also earned the Pioneers its highest national ranking ever and is currently listed second in DII.
