GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College Pioneer Student Athlete Advisory Committee (PSAAC) will host the 2017 Make-A-Wish® 5K Run/Walk this Saturday (March 18) on the Greeneville campus.
The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 10 a.m. The cost $10 donation for participants 16 and older and $5 for participants 15 and under. All proceeds of the event will benefit the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, PSAAC's chosen philanthropy.
Registration for the race begins at 9 a.m. in front of the Niswonger Student Commons on Saturday. On-line registration will be open until March 17th. Rain date for the event is April 8th.
Prizes will be awarded for the top overall male and female runners in the three divisions including overall, legends (50 years and older) and the "Young Guns" Division (15 and under).
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish® Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
The purpose of PSAAC is to generate a student-athlete voice within Tusculum College, solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA Division II legislation, suggest potential NCAA legislation, organize community service efforts and create a vehicle for student-athletes' representation on campus-wide and conference-wide committees.
