Coddington receives All-Region honors from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Tusculum University senior Emily Coddington has been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as Division II Women's Cross Country All-Southeast Region for the 2023 season, the USTFCCCA announced Monday.

Coddington finished 11th at the Southeast Region championship meet to earn All-Region honors, which goes to runners who finish in the top 25 at regionals. It was her fifth finish of 20th or better in seven races this season, and came on the heels of a 10th-place run at the South Atlantic Conference Championship meet on Oct. 21.

The Acosta, Pennsylvania native is the first Pioneer to receive All-Region status in women's cross country since Nicole McMillen in 2019 and the fifth in program history, joining SAC Hall of Fame member Amanda Musick (2001-04), Sue Lewis (2001), Jamie Dyke (2004) and McMillen (2018-19).

A total of 200 men from 83 different programs and 200 women from 91 different programs earned the distinction of All-Region from the USTFCCCA.
