Cutshall named to CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 Team

AUSTIN, Texas --- Tusculum College's Caleb Cutshall has been named to the 2016 NCAA Division II Academic All-District 3 Cross Country/Track & Field first team as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Cutshall, a sophomore from Fall Branch, Tennessee, has a 3.95 cumulative grade point average while majoring in psychology. He advances to the Academic All-America® ballot with the winners being announced next month.

He finished sixth or better in each of his first three cross country meets last fall, including a third place finish at the Hagan Stone Classic and a fifth-place showing at the Carson-Newman Invitational. He also placed sixth at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational and posted an 8K career-best time of 26:57.9 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge. He wrapped up the season with a 37th place showing at the South Atlantic Conference Championship.

Cutshall is a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll, the Charles Oliver Gray Honors List, Dean's List and the Tusculum President's List.

Members of the CoSIDA NCAA II Academic All-District 3 Team are selected from nominees representing all colleges and universities in the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas and Peach Belt Conference.
