JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- Tusculum College's
David Cooper recorded a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meter run at
the 2013 Niswonger Invitational, held this weekend at the MSHA
Athletic Center on the campus of East Tennessee State
University.
Cooper, a sophomore on the Pioneer cross country team, posted an
indoor time of 15:48.90, four seconds off the pace of winner Josh
Jenkins (15:44.39) of Kennesaw State University.
Cooper's time was the best of all NCAA Division II runners in the event, while besting numerous D-I competitors.
TC freshman Lawson Burrow finished 15th with his time of 16:51.13.
