GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College cross country team will be participating in a community service project with the "Couch-To-4-Mile" program announced Pioneer head coach Suzanne Byrd.
The "Couch-To-4-Mile" program is a FREE training program for beginning runners and is a service to the community by the Tusculum cross country program and American Greetings. The nine-week training program will culminate with THE HOPE 4 Graduation Race on May 19th with all proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society.

In the "Couch-To-4-Mile" program, participants will gradually strengthen their mind and body by alternating walking with brief periods of running. Thousands have become successful, lifetime runners using similar programs... and you can too!
There will be an orientation session on March 12th at 5:30 p.m.in front of the Niswonger Student Commons on the Tusculum College campus. The training group will meet once a week, beginning on March 12th. The first session will include an orientation, in which you will receive information on running basics and what shoes and clothing to wear.
Runners/walkers of all levels are welcome to participate.
