GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Kekona Soon has committed to attend Tusculum College and run cross country for the Pioneers announced TC head coach Suzanne Byrd.

Soon, a native of Knoxville, Tenn., ran his prep career at Halls High School where he posted a 5,000-meter personal best time of 18:18 at the 2010 KIL Championship. Soon also competes on the Halls track and field team where he has posted personal best times of 2:11 in the 800 meters and 8:59 in the 4 x 800m, both coming at the 2010 KIL Track Championship.

"We are very excited to sign Kekona to run for us next season," said Byrd. "He is very dedicated to running and will be a vital part of the rebuilding of our program. We expect Kekona to make an impact for us immediately."

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
