
INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum volleyball team is listed 10th in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region with release of this year's inaugural rankings.
The NCAA region rankings are used to determine the NCAA Tournament field. Eight teams from each region make up the 64-team postseason field.
Wingate is the top-ranked team in this year regional rankings. USC Aiken is second followed by Anderson, Queens, Flagler, Georgia College, Carson-Newman, Lander, Augusta and Tusculum.
The Pioneers are vying for its sixth NCAA postseason appearance and first since 2013.
Tusculum (14-13, 9-8 SAC) returns to action on Friday when they travel to Newberry for a 7 p.m. South Atlantic Conference match-up.
